oh no. did he make her uncomfortable? that wasn’t his intention. ahh, he was just trying to strike up a conversation. be a little more honest. this is why he lets the others talk more than him. talking to other people is not easy. especially if he doesn’t know them personally.
the idol awkwardly chuckled, his hand covering most of his face for a moment. jokes are fine. he doesn’t mind them. he is just currently feeling bad if he said something to upset her. “ i prefer having a plan. ” he responded, his eyes also turn to the papers spread out. “ it helps with the creative process. ” he paused for a moment. “ though, it does have its downsides. if i have an idea, a plan, how i want something to come out. i am a bit of a perfectionist. ” he laughed at his comment about himself. obviously a bit of an understatement. now making eye contact with the female idol though she is still looking over the papers. his body language signaling that he has gotten more comfortable with her company. his arms resting on the table, crossed and propping him up as he leans on it.
“ you got a point though. people seem to fall in love with my music no matter what. it could be made with a toaster and i would be winning awards. not many idols can say that. ”
“ Ah, but that’s because there aren’t many who can do that. There’s the work you do with your group, of course, but you do just as well creating music on your own.” She nods thoughtfully to herself before glancing up from the table at him. “Like your untitled piece. I honestly think that one is your best, and I listen to it quite a lot, myself, admittedly– ah–” She cuts herself off, realizing that she’s already saying too much. “I mean– it’s already clear by now that I’m a fan..although— Seunghyun-ssi may have rivaled you quite a bit at one point, so.. ”

Unsure the atmosphere was appropriate for jokes , she cut her laughter short and returned her eyes to the papers spread out between them. By this point it had likely become apparent that she was nervous. After all, it was the first time–-rather–-a lifetime opportunity to work with one of the most successful idols in the industry. Not to say her group itself hadn’t earned it’s share of popularity over the years, but he had been a star long before her dreams of performing came to fruition. She wanted to get as much knowledge as she could out of this meeting, which required care in what words she chose. “Not knowing what your doing may just be the best way to create something, so please trust me when I say it will be great.”
