6 - Gentle Peck
It was not clear what caused her to wake before sunrise. An early morning chill forcing her to retreat under the blankets, away from the light that’d begun to trickle in through the drawn curtains. Warmth came quickly as she moved in close to the body next to her, having honestly forgotten who it was she’d ended up in bed with. But even with her mind in a haze, it didn’t take long to remember, as she’d recognize his scent anywhere.
“Hey..”
Fingers went to touch a sleeping Kit’s shoulder, but hesitated once she’d noticed he was still very much asleep. In the midst of a a dream, perhaps, hoping that nightmares weren’t regular visitors for him. It was strange, that for what had to be the first time, she couldn’t help but remain where she was. Finding innocence in the fluttering lashes and parted lips, a stark contrast to the animal who’s eyes had pierced her right through the bed. It was all starting to come back now, the previous night’s events. A blush beginning to creep onto her cheeks from an image of his bottom that was almost too perfect to forget. Now here he was, sleeping beside her, and he couldn’t have looked more pure doing so. Never having stayed in bed with him long enough to see it.
She wanted to stay.
But she knew she couldn’t get too comfortable. Having asked for her needs to be satisfied and thats was it. To get too close.. it was dangerous, and she figured it best to let it all go with the new day. For now, she gave herself the few minutes before dawn to savor the moment she may not get again. Care and sweetness finding its way through a kiss she pressed into the curve of his shoulder, hovering close just to feel the warmth that radiated from his body. As lovely as it all was, Kit began to stir suddenly in his sleep, which told her she had stayed too long. Slipping quietly out of bed to pick up her clothes and redress, giving his sleeping form one last look before she left the room.
