Suspicious was definitely not what Miri had been shooting for, but now that she thought about it, she was being weird. Again. Thankfully, she did not have bad intentions; She was simply trying to make friends, albeit tactlessly. She was embarrassed, and quickly had to think about what she’d say next, although she knew she’d only be digging her own grave, as she always did. “Good! That’s amazing,” she nodded, as her cheeks began turning pink. “What’s your favourite type of pastry? I like melon bread– Do you think they have some at that place down the block?”

“Melon bread?,” she asked with a tilt of her head, admittedly not having heard the name before. Perhaps it was some new goodie that had been making waves with younger people lately, and she did seem young. Or, there was the chance she was a foreigner, and this was some kind of pastry that wasn’t an easy find in Korea. She would have heard of it otherwise. “I don’t think so– Is melon bread from Japan, perhaps? It might be a lot harder to locate here if that’s the case. We have a lot of French and Americanized bakeries, and goods that are served on the street, but I honestly wouldn’t know the first place to look for melon bread.”
